Causes of the Greenhouse Effect
"Causes of the greenhouse effect
have to do with the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.."
Greenhouse gases are
* water vapour (63%)
* carbon dioxide (22%)
* methane (9%)
* ozone (6%)
And they are released to the atmosphere by
* burning fossil fuel (in factories, power stations, buildings and cars)
* rainforest destruction (particularly burning)
* production of cement
Carbon dioxide is one of the worst of the gases.
Carbon emissions come from
* Supply of energy (so try to save energy!)
* Industry
* Forestry (and rainforest deforestation)
* Agriculture
* Transport
* Building
